Need developer to customize Stripe transactions in Xero

Started by Carine Bonnet -   in Find a Developer

Hello,

We are a marketplace with several vendors that sell services / products to several clients. We switched from PayPal to Stripe recently and the way Stripe works is different in terms of payment so we need to have a few things adjusted like we did with PayPal.

Let's take an example: if the client pays $100, the vendor gets $80, Stripe gets his $3.20 fee and as Admin, we get $16.80 as a final commission.

Right now, Xero creates a $100 invoice and apply the full payment directly. What we need is for the $80 vendor commission and the $3.2 Stripe fees to be transferred as well so the $80 can be deducted from the revenues and te $3.2 can be added to the Stripe fees account as an expense.

Is there someone that could help us?
Thanks,
PN
Hi Paola,
Thanks for posting! Are you using the native Xero Stripe Payment Service to receive the Stripe transaction?

Hi Stu,

Thanks for your response. We are currently using the WooCommerce Xero Integration plugin.

Thanks for the info Paola..
You could try Zapier - that would give you some options for making changes to the data before delivering to Xero.
OneSaas have a WooCommerce connector and at least used to do customisations
We could definitely build a customer connector for this. This would make sense as part of a wider integration strategy or if your businees process needed to be quite complex.
Hope that helps!

Thanks for the quick response. I'll look into these options.
When you say "we could definitely build a customer connector for this", do you mean yourself and your company? If yes, how does it work? Would you provide a quote?
Thx

No Problem! Yep, we do integration :) www.redarc.systems
Happy to give you more details about our solution - just email stu@redarc.systems.
I would definitely investigate Zapier etc as well though. We are geared towards relatively complex problems and yours could potentially be quite straight forward..
Cheers, Stu
