Changes to Invoice Payment Options

We have been offering POLi as a payment method for Xero customers for just over a year now. It enables people to pay Xero invoices via a direct account-to-account payment method. Previously, payment methods were assigned to an invoice template on their own, without an indication of the type of payment.

It has just come to our attention that multiple payment options are now supported: Something (credit card) and something (PayPal). When Xero customers setup POLi as a custom URL payment method, the only way they can assign it to their invoice is via the "Credit Card" payment option.

Furthermore, when people go to pay those invoices, they have to click "Pay with credit card" from the "Pay Now" drop-down list and are redirected to the POLi payment process. We do not process credit card payments.....

Given we are in the Xero partner program, as a payment service, how did this level of confusion come about?
