Duplicate PaymentID problem

We have integrated our system to sync with Xero using PaymentID and all works okay. But today we had an issue with syncing a payment that was made in Xero,

Our logs show two duplicate PaymentIDs - is this possible ? We would not think so ?


PaymentID => f59209bc-f016-42f9-f159-XXXXXXXXX
Date => 2019-05-08T00:00:00
Amount => 1080.00
CurrencyRate => 1.000000



PaymentID => f59209bc-f016-42f9-f159-XXXXXXXX
Date => 2019-05-08T00:00:00
Amount => 150.00
CurrencyRate => 1.000000


Has anyone else had an issue with duplicate PaymentID ?
