Time value as quantity

Started by Russell English -   in Small Business

I'm new to Xero and as impressive as it is, one thing I'm struggling with is entering a time in the quantity column.

For example, I need to invoice for 7 hours and 25 minutes, which is 445 minutes, but how do I enter this in the quantity column as this is shown as 100 and not minutes? Any ideas please?

Hi, I'd suggest you use the Xero internal calculator in the unit field and enter the minutes first by entering 25/60 + 7, will give you 7.4167 but then in the price column you'll get 7.42

Maybe think about using six minute intervals so
6 mins = .1
12 mins = .2
18 mins = .3
So for 1 hour 30 mins, enter 1.5

Hope this helps
