Quotes: Title and Summary to flow through to Sales Invoices

Started by Bob Kilham in Feature Requests | Idea

The Title and Summary fields in quotes are very useful to our clients but they need to flow through to invoices for consistancy. These fields in invoices created directly would also be useful.

Hi everyone, I do get the irritation here and am sorry we haven't been able to provide more updates in the area of Quotes recently.

As some may remember, there was great interest leading up to the release of Quotes in Xero. However, uptake of Quotes has been rather low when considered with other parts of the product.
Of course this doesn't put a halt to Quotes development, but with the amount of work the teams are looking to implement and new invoicing only just rolling out the door the their solely focused on delivery on iteratively building this our with the upcoming features mentioned in our article in Xero central, at this time (Mar 2019).

Working closely along side our product team who oversee all of sales in Xero incl; quotes, classic invoicing and new invoicing - I can assure you they're aware and appreciative of why you'd like to see an option to include the Title & Summary when copying from a Quote to Sales Invoice, more a matter of not being able to work on all things at once. If there's any scope to look into this requests development later in the year I'll be back to let you know.
