Invoicing - Total to show currency symbol instead of currency code

Started by Luke Burrell in Feature Requests | Idea

Speak human! What's with the '450 AU', seems a bit funny to clients. Can it just be '$450'?

Hi all, sorry for any confusion with the change of status. Some good news (as Daniel points out), we've just made some improvements to email templates in Xero. You can now choose to include currency symbols alongside the amount (as well as including the 3-letter currency code if you still want it). Check out all available email template placeholders available here in Xero Help.

If you want to remove the 3-letter currency code from a document, such as an invoice, then you can still use docx branding themes to replace it with the currency symbol of your choice. By default your standard invoice will still display a currency code, not a symbol - there aren’t any plans to change this for now but we’ll keep an eye on your feedback here.
