Personal and Business accounts

Started by John Lessnau -   in Accounting

I have all my business accounts in Xero and love how easy it is to reconcile and track these accounts.

I currently have my personal accounts in Quicken but it is so much more difficult to maintain.

I was thinking it would be great to add my personal bank accounts and CCs to Xero so they can be easily tracked and maintained.

There is no co-mingling between accounts. I would only want to do this to use xero's feature with my personal accounts.

Bad idea? I suppose it would mess up my balance sheets and other important reports for business tax times.

I guess the proper solution would be to have two xero accounts - one business and the other personal but then I have yet another monthly bill...

I know this thread's been a lot of value to the many who've posted here over the years, and I did want to let anyone interested know that our Support team have been equipped with the example template, so just touch base with one of our specialists and they'll be happy to share. :)
