Spell checking on invoices

Started by Lyndsay Strong -   in Accounting

Can you advise if you could add the ability to do a spell check before approving an invoice?
If you use a browser like Chrome or Firefox, use the built-in spell checking.

For Internet Explorer, there are add-ons (http://www.howtogeek.com/76223/add-spell-checking-to-internet-explorer-9/) but I can't vouch for those.

Lyndsey, As Danny mentioned above, Chrome has a built in spell check. We advise all clients to use Chrome when using Xero, it's much faster than Internet Explorer on the Xero application especially for larger reports.

You really need to have a spell check on or a drop down with suggested words to make life a lot easier. Not every body can spell every word very frustrating.

Michael - what browser do you use? Most have a spell check inbuilt :) Otherwise, you can use Inventory Items as a way to quickly enter line items you may need a lot.

Hi did you find a spell check thats work on xero. I currently use firefox to open xero and use Grammarly but it does not work in the description box

Chris Brown-Martin

Hiya Chris, Firefox has an inbuilt spell checker that does work with Xero. It may just not be turned on for your browser? Check out this link for more info on how you can do this. :)

@All - We've recently just launched a brand new Xero Central Discussions space, where you can ask similar questions to get help and recommendations from your peers there. This topic and its discussions are now read-only, so do feel free to raise this again there if you're wanting to hear more suggestions on how everyone else is going about this. :)
