Search - Search multiple Invoice & Bill numbers in a single query and return all results

Started by Ryan Moore in Feature Requests | Idea

This will reduce time to reconcile by hours by eliminating the need to search then check then search then check over and over again for multiple invoices associated with one bank statement line item. A user could search once for multiple invoices and then check all that apply and reconcile. This will also reduce the amount of calls to the backend.

Example: Search by name or reference: 12345, 14540, 12058

Result:

12345
14540
12058
Merged: search wilds

Simple but useful

In search you can only obtain 1 type of result e.g.

"Nam" will pull all contacts with the names *Nam*.

Ideally you should be able to pull "Nam" and "Con"

to get all contacts with combinations of *Nam* and *Con* results and further combinations.

This way you can build a specific list offline separated by comma/colons and get an exact list as well as broad lists. Most search functions in systems allow for comma/colon separated search criteria so seems strange that Xero can't do this.

Cheers,

Being able to search by multiple parameters would be very useful. For example:
term1 OR term2
term1 AND term2

In order to do mass reconciliations, there must be a sql statement that can allow multiple invoice number searches

Would be also great to search invoices within a range ie: 29000 - 29090
