I would like to hear the circumstance and exact situation regarding "Craig Vickers" experience with Surepayroll. Are you a business owner or an accounting firm? If you do not keep Surepayroll up to date on any rate changes, there can be some discrepancies that come up but that is the case with any provider. They are only going to use the information you provide them and if you have just a small error on set up on the front end can result in errors on the returns and cost a business to correct. Online payroll providers are meant to be a powerful tool and if not utilized correctly, I can see where some could have a bad experience. As for the fact that Surepayroll continued to file your quarterly returns, that is user error because you did not cancel your contract with them. Go back and pull your original contract out and read it.
We have been with Surepayroll for over 2 years now and have over 30 clients currently using their platform. We have never been happier with their efficiency but remember that payroll is a complicated process and unless the user completely understands it, there can be some negative side effects. That is why you use a professional accounting firm that has a relationship with an online payroll provider. We just started using the Xero integration with Surepayroll 2 months ago and must say it is the most time-saving feature we have found to book the payroll expense and associated liabilities.
