Employees' Superannuation Guarantee Contributions (SGC) calculation basis

Started by Heidi Hickling in Payroll Feature Requests | Idea

Currently Employees' Superannuation Guarantee Contributions (SGC) are calculated on the basis of the:

• Payment date of the pay run
• Employee's earnings and their superannuation settings
• Set up of the pay items being used

I have a client who has a request regarding the SGC calculation being based on the calendar month (currently based on payment date) as the payment date is presenting him with problems should an employee terminate in the first week of a new month based on weekly earnings in a prior month that would push the gross wage over the SGC threshhold based on the calendar month.
