Reconciling FX Gain / losses by category

We currently run our p&l by category which we use as departments.
Unfortunately xero is unable to to drill down by category on the fx gain / losses transactions. I understand that this is calculated automatically depending on exchange rates however on a yearly basis this could be quite a substantial sum and no way of being able to fully understand what this is made up of could be quite costly to a business. To add this feature to all transactions would be greatly beneficial.
