Unpaid Leave Total
Currently, the unpaid leave type is treated as the same as other leave types and therefore the balance can fall into a negative figure when unpaid leave requests are submitted. The negative balance then appears on the leave tab for the relevant employee. To avoid this, one needs to adjust the opening balance of the unpaid leave type each time a request is approved so that the balance stays at 0.
It would be great if unpaid leave taken doesn't appear as a negative balance and can be treated differently to other leave types. I.e still showing a record on Xero so that an employee can see when they have taken unpaid leave without accruing negative balances.
