NZ Payroll: Work Pattern

Please add the ability to be able to set a work pattern rather than applying an average across a week.

I.e. Some work patterns might be set at 8 hours Mon-Thur and only 7 hours on a Friday, a total of 44 hours per week, which ends up splitting out as an average of 8.8 hours worked per day, which is not a true reflection of the hours worked on Fridays.

Christmas Day is a Friday. These employees should only receive Public Holiday not worked hours of 8 NOT 8.8.

Thanks for engaging in the Community here, Becky 👋 Totally understand why entering a work pattern would be useful to you and you're right, this isn't a feature currently offered in Xero Payroll. Make sure you come back and vote for your request as this helps with prioritising work.

In regards to public holidays, if you're employee/s are set up on a holiday group, public holidays will automatically be included in the payslip as a separate line - check out this article here for more info.😊
